About MHA

About Migrants Hub Australia

Migrants Hub Australia began with a simple observation: the information migrants need exists – but it’s scattered across dozens of websites, written for institutions rather than people, and rarely connected to the local communities where real settlement happens.

We built the Hub to flip that around. Everything here is written from the migrant’s perspective: plain language, practical steps, and – at the centre of it all – community. Community groups across Australia manage their own pages on the Hub, publishing their news, events and services directly to the people looking for them.

What we do

  • Publish practical, plain-English settlement guides, checked against official sources
  • Provide a free directory of services, searchable by location and language
  • Give community groups free, self-managed pages
  • Run a community events calendar, open to all
  • Explain migration news simply, always linked to official sources

What we are not

We are not a government agency, and we do not provide migration, legal, financial or medical advice. We connect you with the registered professionals and free services that do.

Our values

Dignity · Accuracy · Community ownership · Access in every language · Independence

Acknowledgment of Country

Migrants Hub Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live and work, and pays respect to Elders past and present. We build community on lands whose First Peoples have welcomed newcomers for tens of thousands of years.
